Welcome to The Live Models (“TLM”). We are an 18+ dating and social networking platform that enables people worldwide to Chat, Watch (livestreams and video), Meet (lawful social meet-ups), and Travel (lawful travel planning) with creators.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our platform (the “Platform”).
Definitions:
- “User” means any registered member.
- “Creator” means independent individuals who share content or offer lawful meet or travel requests.
- “UGC” means user-generated content such as photos, videos, livestreams, chats, and posts.
- “Tokens/Credits” are access credits used to unlock services and content within the Platform.
- “Wallet” refers to the feature where Tokens/Credits are stored and managed.
TLM is a neutral intermediary that hosts UGC. We do not facilitate sexual services or illegal activity.
- Controller and Contact
TLM is the data controller of your personal information.
We are based in New Zealand. Postal details are available to regulators on request but are not published here.
- Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account details such as email, username, date of birth, and password hash.
- Identity verification data for creators only, including government ID, selfies, and verification tokens.
- Transaction details including token purchases, wallet balances, and payouts (we never store full payment card numbers).
- Device and log information such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and timestamps.
- Usage information including searches, views, likes, tips, and other interactions on the Platform.
- Location information limited to approximate city and country based on IP, or GPS if you explicitly consent.
- UGC such as photos, videos, livestreams, and chats that you upload.
- Safety and moderation information such as reports, ban history, and trust indicators.
- Marketing and survey information such as email engagement, campaign responses, and user preferences.
The Platform is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
- Why We Process Information
We process your data for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate your account, wallet, chats, livestreams, and Meet/Travel Requests (contractual necessity).
- To verify age and identity where required and comply with legal record-keeping obligations.
- To process payments and prevent fraud (contractual necessity and legitimate interest).
- To personalize your experience, analyse usage, and improve the Platform (legitimate interest).
- To send marketing messages where you consent, with the option to withdraw at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the safety of users.
- To use cookies and similar technologies with consent where required.
We do not sell or share your personal information as defined under the California CPRA. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.
- Tokens and Wallets
Tokens/Credits are access credits used within the Platform. They are not money, securities, or financial instruments. We process wallet data such as your balance, purchase history, transfers, and anti-fraud checks.
- Disclosures to Others
We may disclose your data to:
- Hosting and cloud service providers.
- Identity verification vendors (for creators).
- Payment processors and fraud-prevention services.
- Analytics and anti-abuse providers.
- Other users, but only the information you choose to make public.
- Regulators, law enforcement, or courts when legally required.
- Buyers or partners in the event of a corporate transaction.
All third parties are bound by appropriate data protection obligations.
- International Transfers
Your information may be transferred internationally. Transfers between New Zealand and the EU/UK are supported by adequacy decisions. Transfers to the US or other countries are based on Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards such as encryption and role-based access control.
- Retention
We keep your personal information only as long as necessary. In general:
- Accounts and UGC are retained until you delete them or for up to five years of inactivity.
- Identity verification records are kept for at least five years to meet compliance requirements.
- Payment and transaction data are retained for seven years for tax and financial compliance.
- Moderation and safety records may be kept for up to six years.
- Backups are retained on a rolling ninety-day cycle.
- In case of disputes or legal requirements, we may retain data longer.

Depending on where you live, you have rights under privacy law:
- EU/UK (GDPR): You can access, correct, erase, restrict, or port your data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local supervisory authority.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): You can request to know, delete, or correct information, opt-out of any sale/share of personal data (not applicable here), limit use of sensitive personal data, and exercise rights without retaliation.
- New Zealand: You can request access to and correction of your information and complain to the Privacy Commissioner.

- Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use essential cookies for login and transactions, analytics cookies to understand usage, and preference cookies to save your settings. EEA/UK users see a consent banner. We honour GPC signals.
- Automated Decisions and Profiling
We use automated tools to recommend content, detect spam and abuse, and prevent fraud. Where these decisions have legal or significant effects, you can request human review.
- Security
We apply layered security measures such as encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, firewalls, and continuous monitoring.
- Data Breaches
If a personal data breach occurs:
- Under GDPR, we notify authorities within 72 hours where required.
- Under the New Zealand Privacy Act, we notify the Privacy Commissioner of notifiable privacy breaches.
- We will notify affected users if the breach poses a high risk to their rights and freedoms.

The Platform is strictly for adults aged 18 or older. If we suspect a user is under 18, their account will be terminated. Where required, we may report attempted access by minors to the authorities.
- Third-Party Links and Services
If you interact with third-party services (such as payment processors or external websites), their privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for their practices.
- Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If there are material changes, we will notify you via in-app banner or email at least 14 days before the new version takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
